Friends aren’t those who only buy jewelry from me, friends are individuals who want to be engaged by either signing-up to be part of the En Mi family, corresponding with me via email, or commenting on my journal entries. I love to hear about you, things you do, how you feel, what motivates you, as well as anything else you want to share.

AMBITION & INSPIRATION

My ultimate ambition with En Mi Jewels is to spread joy, happiness, and inspire self-confidence in the lives of others. Each day, I am fueled by the immense satisfaction of knowing that the dedication, enthusiasm, and love I put into every creation will be cherished by its recipient. The most fulfilling part of my day is when I carefully prepare and package your special item, taking a moment to appreciate its beauty and what I have crafted for you. As I seal the package, I am filled with anticipation and awe, imagining the emotions you will experience when you open it and see it on the day it arrives.

Handmade jewelry is a timeless treasure that not only reflects cherished memories but also captures new ones. The perfect piece can become your personal talisman, enhancing your beauty, boosting your confidence, and fortifying your courage. Even if you don’t believe in the healing properties of crystals, simply admiring their natural beauty can uplift your spirits. The right piece of jewelry allows you to express yourself authentically or, when given as a gift, convey your love and appreciation for someone else.

ABOUT ME

“Dreaming is easy; making dreams come true demands hard work and perseverance.”

Believing in the possibility of making dreams come true is what drives my passion to be and stay healthy, work hard, and preserve.

I was born and raised in Colombia, SA as an only child and solely by my mother who did her best to support us. Our house was small; one tiny bedroom, a kitchenette, a bathroom with only a shower, and a living room my mom converted into a small store where she sold school supplies and candy.

Growing up I always dreamt of going to America – the land of golden opportunities, and at the age of nineteen, I made that dream come true. Getting from Colombia to the U.S. was quite the ordeal, but a week after leaving Colombia I was safely in New Jersey living with my aunt.

Finding work without “papers” was challenging, but I needed to earn money fast to pay off the local lender my mother borrowed from to fund the passage for me to the U.S.

Being illegal is hard and frightening – throw in my “no habla Ingles” and I found myself unsure of how successful I was going to be. Every night I told myself not to let the opportunity slip through my hands, to keep pressing forward.

Fast forward a year or so, I was working as an evening shift housekeeper at a local hospital where I met a man who, a year later, would ask me to marry him. I said yes, and in February of 2024, we will celebrate thirty-two years of marriage!

We make a nearly perfect couple – nothing in a partnership between two people is perfect, right? Joe is a hard worker and a big dreamer as well and we push and encourage each other to do and be better.

En Mi Jewelry is a culmination of my past experiences, triumphs, and joys. My desire is to create jewelry that has transformative power – designs that embody strength, courage, beauty, and authenticity. I want my pieces to evoke a sense of empowerment and to inspire individuals to dream big, work hard, and never give up!

MY SHOP, MY PROCESS

En Mi Jewelry - At The Bench

I love my shop, it’s quaint, not as big as I would like it to be, but it has all the right tools I need to create my beautiful jewely pieces.

When I don’t have orders to fulfill, I am working on new designs using pencil and paper and brass as my experimental metal. Once I’m happy with a design, I will create the piece using either silver or gold. Then it back inside to take photos of them and get them to my wonderful photoshot expert who works her magic to get them onto pure white backgrounds.

I’m partial to silver because it’s the metal I started En Mi with.
